2.8.6.1: Maintain and Share Port Information

'This process shall be responsible for the collection of status from multiple systems, enabling the secure and efficient exchange of information between the different actors that make up a seaport community. This process shall collect status and location of vessels, cargo, terminal operations, freight rail movements, and truck fleets into and out of a port facility. This process shall provide Benificial Cargo Owners (BCOs), via thier Intermodal Customer Systems, wtih synthesized information about their shipments. This process shall maintain the security of the data such that only authorized users of the data can access it. This proces shall provide information on cargo movements through the port in aggregated form for public and other outside users. This process shall also provide more detailed information on the movement of goods for those authorized - the owners, the assigned vessels, terminals, etc. This process shall provide vessel location, requests for service, and operational status information with external vessel traffic and vessel service provider systems. This process shall disseminate aggregate and specific operational information to authorized port community stakeholders.
