10.5.1.1: Monitor Roadside Equipment Fault Data
This process shall collect and store the operational status of field equipment, including connected vehicle roadside equipment (RSE) infrastructure. This status includes the state of the devices, configuration, and fault data based on input from those devices, updates from field or center operations personnel, and repair updates from the Manage Maintenance and Construction function. The process shall output a complete report of the operational status of the field equipment to the center personnel upon request, and to the Manage Maintenance and Construction function to arrange for repair. This process may also be equipped to communicate with the field devices directly and affect changes to the configuration settings or to configure the devices to optimize their performance, or simply to reboot them remotely should a problem be detected. This process shall also accept data to support unrestricted access to controlled access or toll facilities by special vehicles; e.g., maintenance vehicles.
