10.1.3.3: Support Center Application Authorization

This process shall manage the authorization of applications to run in the connected vehicle environment or to transmit certain types of messages within that environment. The process shall maintain a list of the connected vehicle devices (field, mobile, vehicles) that it manages and sends requests for authorization for the group of assets. This process shall identify any special constraints for the provision of applications and data transmissions such as the transmission of signal preemption requests or applications that retain customer data. This process shall send requests for authorization to determine the eligibility of the center, field equipment, or vehicle/mobile based functions. This process, after receiving the authorization, shall update the applicable processes. This process shall provide an operator interface to support a system administrator updating the device and process inventory used to manage the authorization scheme.
